Established since March 1993

After ending his long term career, in the field of developing porcelains, press-ceramics, ceramic teeth, etc. for Ivoclar, Franz Wohlwend decided to found the Wohldent AG.

Using new technologies, his ideas where brought to realisation. Franz Wohlwend and his assistants developed, produced and introduced the Vision porcelain on the 1995 IDS in Cologne. Vision Classic has proven to be a clinically reliable product and because of it´s uncomplicated handling and efficiency, established itselfe in over 58 countries worldwide up to date.

1995 Wohldent AG changed to Wohlwend AG and only 3 years after moving into the facilities in Eschen, relocation was neccessary, as they became to small. Febuary 1997 we relocated to a larger production facility in Schellenberg.
As these premises have more storage space, other expendable materials where integrated into our programme.
November 1997 Wohlwend AG was successfully certified to ISO 9001 standards.

With growing interest in low fusing glass Lucite ceramic systems, and having had success with Vision high fusing ceramic, Wohlwend AG was prompted to develop Vision Esthetic dual low fusing ceramic. Since its introduction at the 1999 IDS in Cologne, Germany. Vision Esthetic has established itself as an esthetically superior low fusing ceramic für both pressable and PFM restorations.

2005 Wohlwend AG, striving to meet the demands of the world market has also expanded it´s ceramic line with Vision Low. Built on the advantages of Vision Esthetic, Vision Low offers greater flexibility as it is compatible with a wide range of high fusing PFM alloys. CTE 13.8-14.9 (25-500°C).

Innovations bring new materials! With its high strength and delicate frameworks, zirconium oxide is enjoying increased popularity. Wohlwend´s Vision Zirkon provides a new standard for shade accuracy. Its exact CTE settings and excellent adhesion result in optimum performance on different zirconium oxide frameworks. This protects restorations from cracks, checks and fractures.
